About 13 years ago, I was eating in a restaurant in Presidio, Texas and about this time Nolan Ryan was working as a consultant with State Parks of Texas. Needless to say that there are 2 state parks outside of Presidio. We were eating when Nolan Ryan walked in with the local head park ranger and talk about being star struck. I mean, I was stuttering when I was trying to pronounce his name. Nobody else saw him and nobody believe me that it was him and they did not want to approach their table.
