About 13 years ago, I was eating in a restaurant in Presidio, Texas and about this time Nolan Ryan was working as a consultant with State Parks of Texas. Needless to say that there are 2 state parks outside of Presidio. We were eating when Nolan Ryan walked in with the local head park ranger and talk about being star struck. I mean, I was stuttering when I was trying to pronounce his name. Nobody else saw him and nobody believe me that it was him and they did not want to approach their table. We finished eating and the other coaches went to practice while I went to their table and it was none…
