Dan Haren to the Halos?

According to Ken Rosenhaul of Fox sportsm the Angels tried to engage in trade talks with the D-Backs for Dan Haren.
 
If the Angels could pull this off I think it makes them a World series favorite.  The Angels would likely have to give up a few of their top prospects, but I feel it would be worth it.  Haren gives the Angels 3 possibly 4 (if Santana can return to 08 form) Aces plus Joe Saunders who is a solid #2 on most teams. 
 
 
I'm not quite sure what it would take, but I'm sure Brandon Wood would probably be involved.  I imagine guys like Sean…

They get called thrifty and timid, but that's not always a bad thing.
 
A perfect example was this past off-season.
 
They lose Tex and K-Rod and everyone is freaking out, some even went as far to say that the Angels would have a losing record without the pair.
 
So what does Tony Reagins, Arte Moreno, and Mike Scioscia do?  They go out and Sign Bobby Abreu for 5 million, Brian Fuentes for 8.5 million and move Kendry Morales into the starting 1st base spot at 1.1 million.  Add that all up and you get 14.6 million, and for K-Rod/Tex it would have been over…

Matt Palmer Rookie of the year?

The 30 year old rookie has been clutch for the Angels this season. The Angesl rotation has been decimated by injuries, and Palmer was forced into the rotation and has made the most of this opportunity. Palmer is 5-0 with an ERA of 4.26.  His WHIP is 1.14 and opponents are hitting .198 off him, both are fantastic marks.  He has a Complete game and has averaged 6 1/3 innings an outing.  It's not like he's been going up against softy line-ups either, here are the teams he has faced: MarinersRed SoxYankeesRoyalsTigers 3 of those 5 teams rank in the top 12…
