Well, it's that time of year where the draft is approaching, OTA's are on the horizon, and before long another season of Cleveland Browns football will be upon us. It's also the time of year where Browns fans are most positive about the team. The last two seasons left little to be admired during the regular season, but hopefully with the new front office in place and the trouble makers out of the locker room there will be continued growth for the franchise. There is still a lot to look forward to for the upcoming campaign.

Not many people would have picked the Browns to win week one against the Vikings. Not many people outside of Cleveland are surprised at the final box scores. However, I think that many were surprised that the Browns defense contained Adrian Peterson as they went into halftime with a three point lead. Cleveland was winning in the trenches until the second half, when almost all of the wheels fell off. Brady was effective in the first half, but when the team needed a big play to get back into the game he could not produce. Penalties were a problem…

I want to start this off with a comment about Direct TV: I pay $250 extra a year for the NFL Sunday Ticket, so why should I have to stay up until 3am on a Sunday (Monday morning, actually) to watch the Browns preseason replay on NFL Network? Usually I do not care for preseason football, but Browns fans know what is riding on it this year: QB battle; new defense; first draft class of a new administration; etc., etc. I make the extra $50 payment during the month of August, so I think that the preseason should be included in the deal.
