Leaving rosters the way they are now, and looking at the list of free agents for the next off-season, what moves would you make.
I am picking the Detroit Tigers on this TD.
I am assuming that would-be free agents who are on the Tigers will remain on the Tigers and not be free agents (not a very clear TD topic). Pick 3 players, I have to make my arguments short because of used space already:
LF Carl Crawford - Speed is beginning to come more and more important and it is something the Tigers don't have. He has 28 stolen bases one-fourth of the way into the season. Take that in for a moment. It can't hurt that he's a .300 hitter and will hit usually hit double-digit homeruns.
SP Brandon Webb - There aren't many pitchers that can win 15 games and the season would still be called a disapointment. Webb is that pitcher, he racks up the W's.
2B Brian Roberts - Again, speed kills. The Tigers only have one player who might steal 15 bases and he's a part time player. Roberts is a good fielder and has the talent to play third, second or short. He could also be the ultimate utility player, still getting about 500 AB's thogh.
