After watching Italy score two goals in the final two min. of OT against the home team Germany, they are poised to win this coming Sunday. Although France, riding the nostalgia of Zinedine Zidane (ZZ-BaldTop), looks poised to take the Cup, Italy is going to sneak out a victory. The pressure from the Italian soccer scandal has done nothing but let the players play freely and with this freedom, coupled with the Italian passion that we all love to hate, France is facing a starving dog. Italy is hungrier than ever to prove the critics wrong and prove to the world that they are the best country/team in the 2006 World Cup. Although I feel as if Tierry Henry is the second best overall player in the world, just behind Rhonaldino of Brazil, he is no match for the Italian defense and Buffon the goalkeeper from Italy. On the contrary, if you look at France's goal keeping, over the past couple games his play has been far from solid. He has made many saves where he has inmitated being a vollyball player, vollying the ball into the heart of the 18. It is these mistakes that will hurt France and send them back to their villas eating their pate a crepe. That is my prediction and I am sticking to it.
