With the unexpected news of Donovin Darius being cut, the Jaguars' safety positions have suddenly become a lot clearer. I expect that Gerald Sensabaugh, now a third year pro from the University of North Carolina, will slide into Darius' spot, Strong Safety, while rookie Reggie Nelson from Florida will start at the free safety spot. The Jaguars made this move because they obviously feel that Gerald Sensabaugh can very good in the NFL, and that rookie Reggie Nelson is ready to play. As someone that liked Donovin Darius and what he brought to the Jaguars, I am disappointed by this…

Rating System:10.0: Superstar. Top two to three in their posistion in the whole NFL.9.0 Proven Star, is not the best but is worthy of a trip to Honolulu every year.8.0 Solid player, who may or may not be on the verge of greatness.7.0 Player who may or may not have a lot of talent, but has yet to produce consistently at the professional level.6.0 Player who is capable of starting, but will not dominate. I think the Jags let Stroud go because he no longer is any better than Rob Meier. Yes, I said it, Rob Meier is better than Marcus Stroud. Look at their stats over the last two years. Yes, Stroud has missed time, but he has not had a season with more than 3 sacks since 2004-2005. Marcus used to be one of my favorite players, so it is kind of hard to see him go. But I am fully confident that Rob and Derek Landri can effectively replace him. (P.S: Is anyone else upset that we didn't sign Antwan Odom or Calvin Pace?)

Why are the Jags going to let Stroud go??

That's really odd. There's no reason the Jags would take another QB. Garrard proved this season that he is the Jags QB long term. I am curious as to whether they would go for a running back like Oregon's Jonathan Stewart. Fred Taylor can't play forever and a three headed monster is better than a two-headed one.

I just seen the latest mock draft on Rivals.com and they JAX taking Andre Woodson in the 1st round. Did I miss something, why would they take a QB in the First? Garrard did pretty good this year.

It's sad that we lost to the Patriots, but at least the game was tight the whole time. The Jags gave it their all. That's all we can ask from them.
