Marc Ecko agrees to design Flight Crew Uniforms

The New York Jets and Marc Ecko Enterprises have announced a unique partnership in which Marc Ecko will design the 2008 New York Jets Flight Crew uniforms and will personally direct other aspects of styling from hair and make-up to photography. The squad, entering its second season, will grow from 10 members in its inaugural year to 22 in the season ahead.

"We are thrilled to have Marc on board to take the look and feel of our newly expanded Flight Crew to another level," said Jets president Jay Cross. "Ecko is not only an area native but a world-class designer who we know will create a very unique and cutting-edge uniform design for the crew."

New York Jets MiniCamp Updates

Check out some MiniCamp updates for the Jets so far....

Here's a look at the rookie minicamp for the Jets . . . .

There's a new No. 56 in New York.

The Jets' first-rounders have questions to answer.

Rookie S Nate Lyles once thought during a college game that he'd been paralyzed.

The Jets want TE Dustin Keller, a converted receiver, to become a solid blocker.

Coach Eric Mangini was so happy about being back on the practice field that he was cracking bad jokes.

Breaking News: Abram Elam's Brother Fatally Wounded

The older brother of New York Jets safety Abram Elam was fatally shot, the third sibling in the family to die by gunfire since 1987.

Riviera Beach police officers were called to the scene of a shooting at about 12:35 p.m. Friday, and found Donald Charles Elam shot in the lower back, according to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office news release.

Donald Elam, 33, was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

The Palm Beach Post reported that Abram Elam's brother, Donald Runner, was fatally shot in 1987. He was 17. Christina Elam, his sister, was shot in 1999.

You bring up good points but, I like to look at it this way, Keller was good because Bubba Franks isn't signed up too long I don't believe so if he decides to leave/retire anytime soon we have a solid TE who can make great catches but, blocking is somewhat of an issue which the Jets will probably work extensivly on in the preseason and regular season. As for Ainge I'm not sure what to think, I haven't seen him play however from what I have heard he has a solid arm but, Clemens is better but, Ainge has better accuracy and knows where to place the ball most times. It should be interesting to see what happens with these two nonetheless.
I think they wasted two picks. Keller could have been Devin Thomas who could have possibly been the Jets #1 WR that we have been looking for since Keyshawn left or James Hardy who would have been in the top 10 for a red zone target something the Jets deperatly need cause we suck in the red zone. Plus Erik Ainge will never become more than wasted salary on the bench and we could have added depth to the d-line at that pick. Just my thoughts

I can't say I'm disappointed and can't say I'm not. I think they did well though overall.
Anyone else disappointed in the Jets draft?
