I've found that the throwdown section isn't the best place to disuss rodeo events and riding horses. I'm hoping there are enough people that enjoy rodeos or riding horses on this site to form a fairly active group to discuss these things.

I've been a rodeo fan pretty much all of my life. I've roe a few bulls in practice runs, never made it 8 seconds, and decided bull riding is better for me to watch than to participate in. I did get to cross something off my bucket list though.

I rode bulls in my younger days, still carry a scar on my back from a kick from back then. The Mesquite Rodeo is just a few miles from my house. I remember watching Don Gay ride many times.
