10 Commandments Of Championshipness
copyright 2006 all rights reserved
1. Thou shalt not run thy mouth – A Champ has no need to tell others of his greatness
2. Thou shalt not blame others – A Champ overcomes ALL obstacles and is never effected by the refs, the opponents, or anything else on his path to victory
3. Thou shalt perform better under pressure – A Champ rises to the occasion and performs beyond the call of duty.
4. Thou shalt never give up – As long as there is time on the clock, A Champ knows victory is still possible.
5. Thou shalt not celebrate before victory – A Champ knows that victory comes only after the competition, not during or before.
6. Thou shalt not cry over non cryable offenses – see: Richard Vermeil
7. Thou shalt play to win – A Champ doesn’t play for money or attention, but only for victory itself
8. Thou shalt prepare harder – A Champ always wins, because a Champ prepares harder, and thus is prepared for victory
9. Thou shalt honor thy game – A Champ never attempts to make himself bigger than the game. A Champ honors the game as his forum for greatness
10. Thou shalt recognize Championshipness in other Champs – A Champ never disrespects other Champs. A Champ recognizes greatness in other Champs and honors that.
