I still like LSU's name people just think that its just a name but it actually has some history behind it. LSU's first football coach named them in 1898 the fighting Tigers because his dad was in a group named the fighting tigers during the Cival War who were just basicly people who roamed around Louisiana fighting the North soliders. They were kinda like the kids in Red Dawn. And LSU is purple and Gold because he wanted to make LSU Marti Gras colors, but the stor was out of green thank God how ugly would Purple, Green, and yellow jersey's be.
