Is it possible that a throwdown "tournament" be created here for the "newbies"? I think that would be a good way for us newbies to get better affiliated with FN. If the committee members picked topics for us to vote on and then (I dont know if this is possible or not, making a throwdown that only certain people can vote on) voted on who is the winner.

I do agree that the newbies should have a tournament, we will discuss the topics, who is a newbie etc during the 1st committee meeting which will happen soon.

Unfortunately, we can't limt TD voting so that is out of the question.

Definitely a good idea. We'll have to make sure we give open ended topics however.

Before we start the tournament, we will ask for topics from the group members. If they are good topics they will be included. If they're not good topics, I will explain why they're not etc. This will allow the newbies a chance to create topics (so they can learn what a good topic is).

I'm hoping to get it started this weekend. It is going to take awhile to get everyone organized into the correct groups (vets or newbies) so that the brackets are as fair as possible.

A TD tournament is a good idea. A veteran throwdown and a newbie throwdown tournament.
