I guess i'll do the same.
Most David Halberstam books are great. He writes some great sports books like: Summer of '49 (featuring the Yankees' greatness and how they were built), October, 1964 (how the St. Louis Cardinals were built by Bing Devine to upset the NY Yankees), and Playing for Keeps(Michael Jordan's life)
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
The ending actually has some action while the main part of the back is mroe related to just life in the Deep South back then. Its a pretty decent book.
Haven't got to updating this recently:
The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman
Maximum Ride #4: The Final Warning
BRAND NEW MR BOOK! I FINISHED IT IN TWO DAYS!!!!
Great book about the effects of global warming, but still a thriller.
Other books by James Patterson I have read: Alex Cross books: Along came a spider, Kiss the Girls, jack and jill, roses are red, violets are blue, the big bad wolf, cat and mouse, MR Books: the angel experiment, schools out-forever, saving the world and other extreme sports
Two books.
Steel Trapp: The Challenge-called the next Alex Rider series. Kid has a photographic memory, helps thwart a terrorist plan in DC, dad is a FBI agent, I won't tell much more. Great book, by Ridley Pearson (writer of Cut and Run, another great book).
A Separate Peace, by John Knowles-will become a classic. Not that actiony, but is pretty deep and sophisticated. Brings too light many human emotions and the innoncence of childhood. A great book, really. Even though it takes a while to get into, you'll fall in love with the characters. They're pretty witty.
