I was looking around for lists online for the "Worst Rock Bands Ever" and such...

and stumbled on this.

Hide the children, because this guy, and whoever else he compiled this with are taking some serious shots at some of the most important rock bands in its history.

Lets just say, that guys like chrono, LIFER, Coletrain, myself, and probably any member of DPS will be pissed after reading this.

Although, at times... the guy was right.

Oh man....I'm crying......seriously that was hilarious. I was laughing like I was gonna throw up while reading that. LOL!!!!

Let's see, by the numbers...

10: Pink Floyd - He's right, a lot of their stuff is plain crap, but there's plenty of good he chose to overlook.

9: Guns N Roses - It's true, Appetite for Destruction was their only good album.

8: Limp Bizkit - Should be higher, they suck.

7: John Cougar (Mellencamp) - Again, he stinks.

6: Led Zeppelin - This guy is dead wrong here. He says there isn't a single listenable song by Led Zeppelin? Retard.

5: Kiss - He makes a good point, Kiss is about as uncool as you can be. Funny stuff.

4: Jimi Hendrix - He says its a good thing Jimi died? And he was talentless? Talk about sensational reporting, this guy is just trying to make waves by being controversial and dick-ish.

3: Bob Dylan - It's true, Dylan sounded like a cat dying in a washing machine.

2: The Beatles - Sure, The Beatles are overrated, but seeing as they out-sold everyone else in history, it's a long way to 2nd place. And it was actually Bob Dylan who made drugs more popular.

1: The Doors - "Drop Dead" again? This guy is a poopsicle covered in owl pellets. Coletrain will love this.

He was right about KISS and Bizkit. I haven't heard enough of Mellencamp to judge him fairly.

But the rest of the stuff was comedy gold. Having The Doors as the worst band ever didn't make me angry at all, seeing as the guy either did the list as a joke or has no idea about classic rock. That's why I found it so hysterically funny. Can't take stuff like that seriously.

I just looked at the rankings. Didn't even bother to read it, since the guy's either a jackarse trying to get a reaction from people or an idiot white-boy-from-the-suburbs who likes rap.

Aside from him being right about KISS and Limp Bizkit, I agreed slightly about the Beatles and The Doors.

At times Morrison's "lyircal genius" was merely psycho babble. But that doesnt make them one of the worst bands ever, much less THE worst.

The Beatles really dont do much for me. A lot of it is silly sing-along songs that preschoolers would love. But then again, a lot of it pwns.

So much on this list is wrong on SO many levels..

I can only agree with Limp Bizkit, KISS, John Cougar, and Bob Dylan's vocals....

Mac's Overall Breakdown:

10. Pink Floyd -- Yeah, they were drugged up and it showed in their music. But seriously, he's nuts if albums like Dark Side, Animals, WYWH, and The Wall arent epic.

9. Guns n' Roses -- Agree wholeheartedly. One album, which really wasnt even that good anyway. It had three awesome songs, and then the rest was average to siht. GnR is not a rock icon.

8. Limp Bizkit -- Dreadful band. Should be in the Top 5.

7. John (Cougar) Mellencamp -- Good artist. Not exemplorary or anything. He doesnt suck, though.

6. Led Zeppelin -- Um... what?

5. KISS -- Agreed. Should be higher.

4. Jimi Hendrix -- Um... what?

3. Bob Dylan -- Worst vocals ever. No musical talent.

2. The Beatles -- In their day, their silly upbeat rockers were huge. Listen to them today and all the songs could easily be used in a Barney episode. Overrated, influential or not.

1. The Doors -- Granted, Jim Morrison's lyrics are over glorified by the masses. Masses who dont understand what the f8ck Jim was talking about, thus labeled him as a lyrical genius. But come on, his vocals and stage presence...PWNAGE. The Doors pwn, whacko lyrics or not.

Overall, the guy is a bit stupid. Right at tmies, dead wrong at others.

I enjoyed reading the post anyway, very funny.

The Beatles made a lot of songs that are really silly. Stuff talor made for adults who allow their inner child out from time to time.

They did release a lot of phenomenal songs, like "Let it Be", "A Day in the Life", "Hey Jude," and others...

Mac, silly or not that's what the Beatles were. The Beatles weren't a serious band.

They are not known for their song meanings and epics. They are known for groundbreaking studio effects and coming up with an entirely new sound. The way I see it for rock, Bob Dylan helped begin it and The Beatles took it to the nth degree.
