I've just watched the most incredible soccer game ever, yesterday.
Semi-finals of the portuguese cup. With the championship already won by FC Porto, Benfica and Sporting were battling it out for the right to go to the cup final and save their season.
Benfica stormed in the 1st half, going up 2-0. In the 2nd half, Sporting came back and reversed the score, 3-2. Benfica drew at 3-3, and Sporting then scored 2 more to make it 5-3.
Incredible stuff!

wow great game. Those are some pretty fantastic goals.
GIVE THE BWIN LEAGUE SOME RESPECT, PEOPLE
well, i think the bwin league is the 6th best league in the world behind the EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and French Ligue 1
As usual, jeevs provides a useful starting point for discussion. Also, he can spell. Fabulous game last midweek, concurring w/ Hyped. Almost as good as Sting-6 Cosmos-5 at Wrigley Field, 6/81.
This year, the BWIN could be as high as 4th, ahead of France and Germany. Perhaps those unofficial FIFA Club rankings might answer the question, but I can't remember where to find them. Anyone know?
the Portuguese and Dutch league seems to be farms of talent; they produce top-notch players like a factory
Yeah, they sure do. Huntelaar, Alves, Simao, Quaresma, the list can keep on going. Two great leagues that are great for developing footballers.
hmm, holland vs portugal
great at developing players
and all have the big clubs
im gonna have to rate them even, but the EPL is #1
