I read that Mulder looked pretty good in his AA start. What do you think about his ability to come back and be a high quality starter this year, and who do you think should leave the rotation when he returns? I think put Looper in the bullpen and send Thompson back to AAA

I honestly think that (most likely) he is done for.. I mean, come on, they said that he was back to normal last year and his first start he allowed 12 R (7 earned) in 5 innings.. the starts after that got no better. We have to give him a shot at it just in case but I dont think he will last long. I would say send Thompson back down but he might not be down there long. I just think that the great Mulder is done.

Mulder got killed tonight in his AAA start. Gave up 3 HRs and 7 or 8 runs. You may be right about Mulder being done.

All I say is: I wish we still had Haren. Think about our potential rotation today had we not made the Mulder trade:

SP#1-Wainwright
SP#2-Haren
SP#3-Lohse
SP#4-Wellemeyer
SP#5-Piniero

Pretty sollid 1-3. Wellemeyer is decent, and Piniero can be good.

I know what you mean, 'cause I've had the same thought. Think about a top three of Wainwright, Haren and Carpenter if he comes back 100%...... we'd own the Central for another 5 years........

Mulder was awful again at AAA, and now his shoulder is sore, so I am hearing that they are going to shut him down again. Guess you were right, DieHard, maybe he is done.
