New York Jets Club: Gang Green Boards

Viewing Thread: 08-09 Season, What to Expect

Well keeping tradition here, last year I did a what can we expect so I figured now would be a good time to state my thoughts again.

The Jets needed to plug a lot of holes for this season. They did that with getting Faneca, Pace, Woody, Gholston.... they also got some other great guys like Bubba Franks, Dustin Keller, Dwight Lowery, Marvus Williams... Basically addressing all of their key problems. However the QB and RB will be things to look for as well as WR but, not so much.

In all the Jets have done pretty well for themselves and it should be interesting to see how they do this season. Final Prediction: Either 12-4, 8-8 or 9-7.

I exoect another poor season in the range of 4-12 to 6-10 because of the quaterback situation and divisional opponents getting better. The secondary is going to be garbage this year so I expect the Jets getting into high scoring contests and they wouldnt be able to keep in. Also no red zone threats were acquired so I expect alot of touchdown chances going to field goals. I feel the Jets have no depth on either side of the line and one key injury to the O-Line could send them spiraling down to another game deciding if they will get the 3rd 4th or 5th draft pick.

I really wannna say 10-6 but I just cant, theres just to many better teams with better qb's so ill say 8-8

RB isnt that big of a need Smith, Woodhead and the rb out of Michigan State are all good guys who can step in and play right away. To me RB is one of there deepest positions but qb;s another story

well i guess i just puting my expectations so low i can't be dissapointed anymore...hell i know we won't win a super bowl so the next best thing is the number 1 draft pick matthew stafford or knocking the pats outof the playoffs

I expect 6 and 10 at best. This team still needs a QB.
