I have been a dodger fan for over 25 years ,and i cant recall ever seeing a dodger pitcher that is consistently as bad as brett tomko, for example just in this week alone against the dbacks grady puts him in the 8th up 9-2 assuming not even tomko can screw this one up ,next thing you know in1 inning 5 hits 2 walks 3runs putting the game at 9-5 with the bases loaded and 1 out .saito has to come in and s.o the last two batters.to end the game. 2 games later againts the pads ,penny 7innings 1 run, beimel/broxton/saito/tsao 1 scoreless inning each ,tomko comes in to pitch the 12th and gives up 3 hits 2 runs and we end up losing the game... I am not saying a pitcher can't have a bad week ,,but at 1and 6 and an e.r.a over 6 i say its time to cut our losses and release him before he continues to hurt our chances of making the playoffs..
