I believe this is the make or break year for callahan. I think he will have to break the 10 win mark or worry on losing his job soon.

Absolutely!
A USC loss will begin the ball to roll. Especially if we lose to them as we did last year.
Any loss will have to be a death defying attempt to win up to the end.
None of this, Passive attitude, lets don't attempt a game winning field goal like against Auburn. Or get thrown under the bus loss against Okie St.
Let's put it this way: It's an all or nothing season.

He has the talent to win 10 games this year. However with the Callahan and Cozbohl factors included, NU will most likely go 7-5 or worse.

I agree that fans will be questioning Callahan's future if the Huskers don't have a huge season, but I also think that would be pretty fickle (as college football fans tend to be). We have to remember that the Huskers did break the top 25 for the 2005 season and, despite having 5 losses last year, pulled out the 1st win over a ranked opponent on the road in 7 years, won the Big XII North, and came so close to another 2 big wins (Texas & Auburn in the Cotton Bowl).

After the Okie St beatdown, it wouldn't surprise me to see Cosgrove gone by Monday with Callahan and the rest of the staff following at the end of the season.

With any luck, Perlman and Pedersen will go with'em.

I have to say one thing. We all were right He is gone. He didn't do what he needed and husker fan flip those numbers around it is 5-7.
