Last year Lovie Smith was a great head coach. If he didn't sign that extension, he would be out of Chicago before the draft. Smith better change back to his old coaching tacticts or his job could could be in jeopardy.

They would never fire Lovie
even if he lost half
of his games.
He's a legacy to them.
He is the best thing that has ever happend to them.

Dunno if hes the best thing ever happened to them but hes a great coach. If Chicago had a good QB like a Drew Brees theyd be unstoppable.

Yeah our team sure would look a lot better with Drew Brees in a Bears uniform...hard to believe we didn't even go after him because of we were sure the Sex Cannon was the qb of the future!

Hey, you can't place all of the blame on Smith's shoulders. It's not as if Angelo has done anything substantial to improve our offense. He should have known after the Superbowl, Hell, before our SB run, that we need better tackles. Slam Grossman all you want. But the truth of the matter is that the tackles did not perform great. Grossman was not given a lot of time when going up against the Colts D, and Grossman paid the price for it.

Not only that, but our running game placed 30th in the league last year, just one year removed from the SB. That's quite pathetic for a team that is a "running team as soon as we get off the bus." This could change drastically with better tackles. We need our runners to have better protection. Get better tackles, then watch Peterson and Wolfe scream down the field. And I would cream myself if we got Turner in FA. A backfield of Turner, Wolfe, and on occasions Peterson would be a dream come true.
