Miller is good...but he's not in the Gates, Witten, Tony G solar system.

Disagreed. Whether or not he's number two is debatble for me, but Miller deserves to be in the top tight ends category with Gates, Witten, and Gonzalez.
You mentioned three great passing tight ends ... Miller is just as good just not ss flashy and better then all of them in blocking! In my opinion, of course ..

Miller is definitely in the Elite class in all respects; Blocking, clutch catches, gaining yards after the catch. He is a class act, a great team player who quietly does his job without bravado, or glory seeking. Heath Miller would be an asset to any team, thankfully he is with the Steelers. IT"S MILLER TIME !!

QUOTE:

Look at it this way, after Pittsburgh drafted Miller, they won the SuperBowl. O.k. that's really not why they won, but he helped. Miller is a blocking TE that is much larger than an average TE. He CAN block, not just "push" or get in the way for 2 seconds stopping a blitz. With what he's asked to do, he's a top 5 TE, but not a top 5 TE for recieving. He's a top 5 blocking TE. And if we lose him, it will be a step backward, but Spaeth played well in a limited role last year, but he is not Miller.

Spaeth looks promising.
