I have the Cowboys, Panthers, Bears, and Cardinals as the division leaders, with the Redskins and Giants in the wild card spots. But the East and North are almost too close to call. Any team could win the East, and the Bears/Packers/Vikings could all win the North. It will be interesting.

More importantly, who is his doctor prescribing him the drugs he's on? Aside from the divisional games they are at MINN, vs. ATL, at HOU, at IND, vs. TENN, vs. CHI, at GB, vs. JACK, at PHI and vs. DET. Not sure where you find 11 wins in that schedule.

So you have them losing at Houston but winning in Indy? And winning at ARI but losing at home to them? Losing at home to Jacksonville but winning in GB? And beating the Falcons? Well your optimism is nice but the best I see them is 9-7. What improvements have they made from last year's 7-9 team that went 3-3 in their own weak division? They do seem to have an easier schedule out fo the division, not having to play NE, NYG, DALL and MIA but I'm not sure it's that much easier to get them 4 more wins than last year. But good luck...I've always like the 49ers except when they've knocked my Vikes out of the playoffs of course!

Well, Houston will be the better team between Indy, Arizona games both could go either way, the jags game is a toss up, GB sucks and the falcons are not as good as you want to think.

Just saying.

They don't have a QB. Com'on look you have a team who just went to the Super Bowl. And will destroy you this coming season. And your prediction of TB no they need alot more tune ups on D.

July 19, 2009  04:07 PM ET

i would go with Shaun Hill his td-int ratio is better than smiths

July 19, 2009  04:09 PM ET

Damon Huard lol

It never hurts to hope and wish. Stranger things have happened. Injuries could derail any of those teams and a loss could turn into a win. Players could play above their expectations..........That's what I love about football............you never know.

I know Mike Singletary will do his best tho. That's a given.

Never heard of a team named, Dalass. My guess is, instead of a lame joke attempt, you just don't know how to spell Dallas.

I am a Dallas fan. So what if I'd like to see the 49'ers become prominent again, so we could create more classic games? The Steelers already are, and hopefully, we will be again this year. Win, lose or draw, those were some games. Now, whether Green Bay will or not, remains to be seen. Maybe the Bears will take GB's place, and probably can.

But, I've said this before.

July 20, 2009  07:36 AM ET

I think 11-5 is a bit optmistic however I think they will win the west and be in the playoffs .... every real football fan should just love mike singletary by now. It would be easy to run into a burning building at his behest.

July 20, 2009  10:39 AM ET

Anything is possible in the NFL but with Shawn Hill and Alex Smith as your quarterbacks, I would have to say that you are reaching at 11-5.

I guess you dislike a lot of teams then. The Vikes might be getting close to being the 1st team to get knocked out of the play-offs by everyone in their conference at least once! LOL!!
