MLB  > General MLB  > Long term affects of injuries to the Mets
July 19, 2009, 11:22 PM
All those injuries that the Mets are experiencing, will have quite a few affects on the team. The obvious one being that it has killed any chance of going to the playoffs. But there are some that could really hurt this team in the future. Being that it has exposed the weakness of the farm system, there seems to be no immediate help there. The players returning will be a year older, and will their talents have declined any? But the ones that scares me the most will be#1. Will Johan Santana resign when his contract is up, and #2. Will any future free agents want to play here. Your thoughts.
