MMA  > General MMA  > Any more challanges for GSP in the Welterweight division how about....

People are all clamoring for Lesner vs. Fedor. I'd like to see it too but how about a superfitght at Welterweight.

The UFC should be looking to import not only Fedor for Lesner, but Jake Shields to battle Georges St. Pierre.

Shields has a 12 fight win streak and hasn't lost since Dec. 2004. He doesn't have the resume' of opponents that St. Pierre boasts, but has beaten some good fighters and anyone put in front of him. I'm not sure how many fights he has left on his current contract, but he may be the best challenger out there for St. Pierre.

Just for the record (check older posts for proof, not a recent band wagon jumper) I think GSP is the best P4P fighter out there, and my favorite fighter. I was still suprised how dominant an injured GSP was against Alves. I think he'd beat Shields too, but it would be an easy fight to sell.

Any other challengers out there for GSP?
