MLB  > Cleveland Indians  > A Joke of an Organization

Management has once again dropped the ball this summer. Let's recall some drops this year and in years past. 2005 - Draft Tim Lincecum, refuse to pay signing bonus, lose chance for Cy Young pitcher. 2007- Don't re-sign Casey Blake (now starting 3b for LAD, although his name was on the recent steroid list) 2008 - Deal C.C. Sabathia for Matt LaPorta, pitchers Zach Jackson, Rob Bryson, and Michael Brantley. 2009 - Deal Mark DeRosa for bum reliever Chris Perez, Deal Rafael Betancourt for a pitcher who's still in Single-A, Deal Cliff Lee and Ben Francisco for 3 Triple-A and 1 Single-A players from Phillies, NOT J. A. Happ or Kyle Drabek, Deal Victor Martinez for Justin Masterson, Nick Hagadone, and Bryan Price (aka NOT Clay Bucholz). I understand you have to build for the future, but people still want success NOW! Pretty much we can conclude that Mark Shapiro and the rest of the management suck. And as such, the Indians have become what they are now... a joke.
