NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > Heisman darkhorse??
August 10, 2009, 01:31 AM
So I was just curious as to seeing who everyone in FN thought was a darkhorse for this season's Heisman Trophy. I live in SC and everyone in saying CJ Spiller. I think he may have very slim chance but one guy I am keeping my eye on who could go under the radar is Noel Devine, RB West Virginia. This guy had almost 1300 yards last season but only 2 touchdowns. His lack of TDs was because of UWV great Pat White doing all the scoring but Devine had that many yards while being virtually the second running option behind White. Now that Pat White has moved on to play with the Dolphins I believe that Noel Devine will have more yards, more touchdowns, and more reason to be considered a Heisman Trophy candidate flying under the radar of many.
