MMA  > General MMA  > Forrest on the Out?

Where does Forrest go from here? Obviously he's not done fighting (in no way am I suggesting that) but does everyone agree that now he's kind of out of the title picture? Is he now just a mid-level fighter? Does this embarrassing loss hurt Forrest in the eyes of his fans?

Holy activity!

I'm jumping in late, so I'll just address the topic.

As Hyped said, he could mainly be a gatekeeper. He is kind of poorly suited for that role though, as I think he will beat many of the top up-and-comers, being kind of a foiling gatekeeper.

I think that his stardom has gotten him to the point now where he will take mostly big payday type fights, not many fights against up and comers. Fights with guys like Shogun, Machida, maybe even rematches with Rashad and possibly Tito.

Forrest is two, maybe three wins from a title shot. Everyone loves the guy so he'll sell PPVs. $$$ rules everything.

I don't know why they left, but I hope they come back to stick around.
