Why is Derek Jeter breaking a "record" that no one cares about a major news story. If it weren't New York and if there was something else to write about it would merely be a footnote at the end of some story about last nights game. Since this seems to be so important would SI mind publishing who holds the hit record for each of the current active 32 staduims, and why not the inactive staduims over the years. personally I think 1000's , well maybe 100's , ok maybe 1 person cares who holds the hits record for Coor's field or even the Polo Grounds or the old Comisky park .
