for the first throw as a NFL player with everyone watching thats pressure thats why they called the play. to see how he would handle and guess what not hesitation good throw. I wouldnt say he won the job even though he will cus kellen didnt get a play call like that but you have to get the shakes out and that did next game look for a more fair match up and the end of that game will give you a starter.

4 sacks 7 starts out 1 string only in for 3 drives and altrnate until end of 1st quarter and then 3rd string almost holds them the reast of the game.... they made some mistakes but its the first game and there 3rd stingers when to first team was in the completly dominated even when kellen fumbled at there own 40 thats impressive even if it is the RAMS maybe the depth needs some help maybe...... but even with calvin pace out and Ellis our defense will be good... may not look the best until week 5 but thats because the most explosive offensive teams in the leauge we play in the first four games (texans, Pats, titans, Saints)...... WE WILL BE A TOP CONTENDER ........NOT GETTING AHEAD OF ANYONE BUT YOUR TEAM ****............. WE ARE THE NEW YORK JETS

Matt Ryan threw a long TD pass in his first attempt as a starter if i remember correctly and he had a pretty good rookie season if i do say so myself.
