MMA  > General MMA  > Strikeforce @ Showtime... good business?

Please leave the contempt for Strikeforce asside for a minute.
Forget they got Fedor. :)

The question here is if Showtime is helping or hampering Strikeforce.

If they get to the open channels, they would need a channel that gives at least a good ammount of airtime (so they would be able to gather as many viewers as UFC), and this way they would be able to make more money, then get more fighters and so they could sell in PPV too.

But This could be a risky move since if they are outside of showtime, the sure money showtime would bring them will be lacking, and if UFC really got aggressive by putting good shows with better cards in the same day&time, they would destroy Strikeforce.

But as long as they are with Showtime, they are stuck showing only to Showtime subscribers, making (potentially) less money, so they can offer less money to fighters who, in turn might sign with UFC for bigger paydays.

However, they would be secure.

So what would you do? Take the risk? Stay small but safe?
Sound off, FanNation!

What should they do? What can they do
