Lebron James as been labeled as the 2nd best player in the NBA behind Bryant. Some say because of skill, others becuase of rings.

Jordan had Pippen and Rodman, Kobe had Shaq in his prime and now Gasol. A couple of years ago the James made it to the finals with Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes as his supporting cast. And this year had the best record in the NBA with big Z and crew. Kobe got to the finals 5 times with way better teams. As he approaches his prime I believe he could have had a few rings already with a supporting cast. How many rings do you think he could already have had with some help?
