NFL  > Cleveland Browns  > BQ not the real choice for starting QB?
September 17, 2009, 11:41 AM
Based on last weeks performance by Brady Quinn, it appears that the Cleveland Browns offense has zero deep threat capability with BQ at the helm. It seems to be the consensus amongst the fans that this is going to be a glaring hole in the offense this year. With that said, then why would Mangini choose BQ? Is it because he knew that the rabid fans would boo DA every time he touched the ball, thus not giving him a fair shot as the starter? What if Quinn was chosen to show the BQ supporters that they were behind the wrong guy, for the wrong reasons? What if this is a ploy, set up to give the fans what they wanted, while knowing that they will be calling for DA by week five of the season to replace BQ (should he fail to move the offense down the field)? I'm not usually into the whole conspiracy mill, but if that is the best offense that we can put on the field it is going to be a long season.
