NBA  > Portland Trail Blazers  > Variable Ticket Pricing A Great Idea!
September 20, 2009, 12:33 PM
Made sense to me that the Blazers introduced variable pricing. In fact, I don???t know why they haven???t established this in the first place. Watching a bad team should not cost as much as watching a good team. From a business perspective, this makes sense to me. People will pay extra to watch the Blazers face a good team like the Lakers or the Cavs. And I know there???s a lot less interest in the bad teams, so why not reduce the prices so you can get more butts in the seats? It would give people who normally wouldn???t be able to afford to go to a game a chance to go. Plus, the Blazers will continue to sell the $9 tickets to all the games, giving everyone a shot at watching a good game at an affordable price. From a business perspective, this simply makes sense.
