NFL  > General NFL  > Philips to be replaced by Shanahan as head coach of Dallas
September 21, 2009, 12:12 AM
So I've met a few folks in the NFL, real estate, and have several confirmations that Shanahan is in motion to replace Wade Philips as head coach of Dallas, perhaps half way through this season. Shanahan has met with Jones and had discussions about coaching the Dallas team starting in Oct-Nov of this year.

In addition Shanahan has looked at several homes in the Dallas region and has traveled there several times since the off season. Dallas really isn't a vacation spot you travel to several times over 4 months. What other reason could he be going there for? Why is he looking at homes? You have heard it here first from Pittsburgh's Native Son, Wade Phillips will be replaced this season by Shanahan as head coach.
