NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > Terrell Owens Tweets: Cowboys Have a Tony Romo Problem

I wish I could disagree, but I believe he's right! I wish they were still together, but in Buffalo, NY. What are your thoughts?

He may be right...............for this one game..............but, I don't think he'll be right for all of them.

Romo didn't have the best of days, of course, but then, I don't think you'll find any QB who doesn't have off days. We still should have won, even at that. If the defense would have shut down NY's last drive, we would have won, in spite of all those turnovers.

Remember Buffalo back in 07.

Well, our offensive plan from the get-go was pretty milk-toast. First drive, 3 short pass plays for a 3 and out? They only opened up on a few plays, and honestly, some of the packages they were putting out there made no sense (Like having SAM HURD as the WR2 in a 2 wideout package on that play where Romo threw the aptly named "punt interception"). Romo had a bad game...simple as that. Defense didn't really come up big when needed to. Special teams were average. Overall, it was just a poorly executed game plan (with the exception of the OL and the running game).

I disagree. TO shouldn't be tweeting anything about anyone....he's 3rd on his team in yardage and catches, and hasn't reached 100 yards receiving for the YEAR yet. He hasn't proven anything so far this year, except that he still can't keep his big mouth shut and just loves to hear himself talk. This guy still hasn't learned that talking is great, it's DOING on the field that matters in the NFL.

September 22, 2009  09:49 AM ET

No fan of TO here. On the dropped pass they love to show from Sunday the ball passed from Sun to Shadow in the split second he was to grab it....If you have ever been in a situation like that you know the ball literally disappeared in that split second. Made him look the fool. Unlucky.
We are better off with TO gone but the fact that the WRs could not find more gaps vs a patch work secondary on Sunday night is inexcusable. With play like that the Cowboys will hover around .500 all season.

i totally agree..... and romo was terrible sunday nite. that's the problem w/ romo, he can play so well, but in other games he is absolutely horrible. dallas should have won that game, but their QB hurt them so badly that they lost. now, every QB has off games at times. we will see w/ romo if this was just an off game or a pattern in "big" games. if he has many more like this you will see their season start to crumble. a team has to believe in their QB and althought one game does not make a season, several performances like sunday nite will eventyally hurt team chemistry and confidence in their QB. romo has an opportunity monday nite again in front of a huge home crowd, this time against a weaker team.... let's hope he gets back on track and has a respectable nite.

As I have said before. Even our best had had days where you spend half the time wondering where they were mentally...even Aikman had those days. I look to this week to see how he handles it. Does he step up, demand that his teammates play with the intensity needed to win? Does he sit back and sulk and lick his wounds? Does he go out and throw for 4 TDs and 0 Ints or does he repeat this week? Maybe we will look back at this game later in the season, and see that it woke up our team, and that after spending the entire week between games 1 and 2 patting themselves on the back, they realized that there is WORK to be done. If this is becomes a wake-up call, then it was worth it. I just think that our team had that "feel good" feeling after passing for a "Romo record" yardage, and didn't get it done. I think this week will be different, as I am sure JJ is down there at practice right now telling every player how he doesn't want HIS team embarrassed on national television at their new home a second week in a row.

Carolina will be a desperate team, so, the 'Boys are going to have to go take care of business, and knock em down and keep em down. Can't have any of this "letting them get back into the game" stuff.

There are 1 or 2 plays every game that Tony Romo changes the course of the game with. For the most part he changes it for the worse of his team but it just so happens his team is good enough to still win some of those games even with his poor performance. If they had someone less talented but that was consistent they would be better off in the long run of most games.

September 22, 2009  03:56 PM ET

T.O talking? On the Bills? Where he currently blows? GO FIGURE!!!

Sucks being out of the spotlight..so of course hes going to talk, thats all he does, oh..drops the ball a lot to!

Um..no, just no. Changes it for the worse? Please elaborate..or you just talk out of your arse like most of the idiots here that hate the Cowboys more then they love there own families..pathetic, you are no exception.

Wow....there's a totally unoriginal point that is totally NOT supported by the stats. If Romo was so needless, then Brad Johnson wouldn't have lost 3 out of 4 when Romo was out last year. You really need to think about what you say and observe some statistics before you actually post and look foolish. Romo has started his career with more wins than Aikman had through 4.5 FULL SEASONS of play in about 2.5 seasons. He's already reset some passing records for the Cowboys in that time as well. He may force some plays and make missteps, but take a look at Brett Favre....one of the greatest....he's had plenty of games that he's cost his team by taking chances. Romo's upside way outweighs his downside.

One bad game and Terrell Owens is on it like white on rice. Where was the criticism after Tony Romo's Week 1 performance?

I agree! Funny how Owens still has yet to amass 100 yards for the season, yet he's calling out someone whose thrown for 300+ and 3TDs in one game
