NFL  > New England Patriots  > NO 19 - 0 FOR PATS ~ Cap'nFox 's MEA CULPA
September 22, 2009, 11:39 AM
Greetings Sportsfans

Pat's backer here , thought it was only fair to come down off the ledge and give FanNationers a free wack
( especially u Pats Haters )

1st - Let me just say FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF *UUUUUUUUUUU **** KKKKKKK !

2nd - I will take a page from Vince Wilforks book of humble pie and state the obvious :

THE JETS JUST KICKED THE PATRIOTS BUTTS .

NO EXCUSES .

The 2nd half of Sundays contest was as miserable a performance as a Brady led team has produced in a very long time
( ZERO Tds is a tough way to get your personal 21 game regular season winning streak snapped ~Though hats off to #12 for owning up to his part )

All the Jets' flappin' yappers made this one particularly HARD TO SWALLOW
( pardon the reference to BGDUECE's affinity for a certain part of the male anatomy )

They talked smack ~ backed it up ~ took control of the division.

CONGRATS.

( Of course - Now, we'll get to see if they can play as well as frontrunners as they did as underdogs )

PERSONALLY - I FOR ONE THINK THEY"RE FOR REAL
Solid O-Line / Running game ~ Stout , Aggresive D / Ball hawkin' special teams / Gifted Rookie Qb ( Flacco proved in 08' smart rooks can get it done )

WE"LL SEE ...
The NFL season is a marathon
How will REX & Co. handle adversity / injuries etc. ?

BUT I DIGRESS
MY PATRIOTS have to adress that stuff ...NOW !

Not too thrilled with Pats overall progress to date &
No doubt there're teams out there playing better than us

But We'll get back to work right the ship .

As long as BB and BRADY are in New England ~

I like our chances .

PATS ~ ONE & ONE BUT NOT DONE

CapnFoxboro out.

PS - I'd like to give a pre-emptive shout out to BEARS BACKER
BGDUECE
( aka ...BIG D O O S H ~ FanNation's # 1 **** Clown )
Nice Bears win Sunday night !
( Thanx for helpin' us out with AFC home field advantage )

I am not a Patriot hater and in fact I enjoy watching Brady play, however, I honestly think the Patriots are showing signs of a downward spiral. Their defense is not scaring anyone and their O-line is showing major weaknesses. Brady has become the QB he is because of his O-line, without the line producing the way they have, you're going to see problems all year.

To be fair, not having Welker hurt you guys bad and Galloway needs to be cut from the team. No hands, no rout running and no speed.

On a side note, Pit holds the tie breaker as it stands because they have not lost in their conference yet. So the Bears really didn't help you out at all.

Good luck the rest of the year.

I glad to see reality set in. I thought about gloating but after the Steelers loss to Da Bears I could not not bring myself to do it.

September 22, 2009  05:30 PM ET

Kudo's to you. Way to man up after that 19-0 debacle.
I admire your team spirit...but I don't think we are going to see that happen again for a long, long time.(16-0 reg. season) Last perfect season was 72 Dolphins. Look at the gap, 35 years.
Your Patriots have some things to iron out, and after 2 games...they look like a whole different ball club.
I was pumped after the Car. game...then SMACK!!! Back to reality.
Brees took it to us...that's for damn sure...they look awesome.
the look awesome.

September 22, 2009  05:31 PM ET

sorry...typo...(the look awesome)

thanks guys alls us jet fans want is respect its hard to get any kind of respect when the pats ran the division for YEARS but its our turn now and we are going to make the best of it. ps. bart did not kick the patriot player

Good evening folks.
Interesting thread but lets be honest. Who really and honestly thought the Pats would go 19-0? Brady coming back from an injury, New faces on defense, No Gaffeny, no Pioli, and a new offensive co-ordinator.
I love my pats but lets be honest. This is a bit of a transition year. I'm happy if they make the playoffs, which by the way, they still have an excellent shot at.
I have always find the Pats start their years slow and then get stronger as the season progresses. I'm hoping that is the case this year.
Facts....Jets D played a great game. I'm really impressed by Bart Scott and Revis. (Jz is right. Bart did not do the kick but sorry sir, That was a Jackson fumble.)
It's early in the season and I remember the Jets fade last year. I'm not ready to concede the divison just yet.
I don't mean to take anything away from the Jets but I still think they caught the Pats at the right time. Short week, getting all that O'Connell info, and more than that no Wes Welker. Once Moss was covered Brady looked lost without Wes. These are not meant as excuses. Jets played great and had a great game plan but I'm already looking forward to the rematch.
Week 2 is done. I'm looking forward to week 3. Lets home we see some improvements and a big W for our Pats.

Come on Captain im a pats fan and i didn't they were going 16-0. Not with that defense.

Maybe its time to think before you post. And we need more Ron Brace.

Hey Adam , this post has to do with my pre- preseason thread ( Pats 19 -0 ? ... who can beat them ) , obviously NOT what I thought of their "undefeatable " present potential
( In fact - After accessing their camp / preseason games -My week 1 prediction was posted as the Pats goin' 13 - 3 )
THAT said - I did shoot my mouth off with that original thread -
So I knew at one point I would have to face the music
(especially 'cause it's still circulating )

As far as BRACE goes - I really like him as well ( we're from same hometown too)
but last I checked he doesn't play O - which is where we're stumblin' & bumblin' at the present time .

TERRENCE NUNN NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE ROSTER ASAP !

Yeah people have got to stop posting in that thread.

But Im worried about smaller guys on the d line. I don't feel to good about mike wright and i don't know how many more years they are going to have Wilfork around.

Joey Galloway didn't look good but Terrence Nunn is not the answer. Remember Nunn looked good vs. the guys that are at the end of other teams rosters. I dont think he can produce vs the starters.

Try reading Don Banks article today here at S.I.

1 loss does not mean the sky is falling.

The Jets are for real though, good head coach, good rookie at QB, fans of NY have waited a long time, congrats to them.

San Francisco will trade you the rights to Crabtree, so you can get rid of Galloway.

No thanx . . . rather continue to stink it up with Galloway then add that Craptree cancer
( In Galloways defence - He is new to the system & actually did catch most of the passes thrown his way Sun. . . . just not the IMPORTANT ones )

Add any rate : SF can't trade him until March of 2010 per NFL Rules .

On 2nd thought ~ How about 18- 1 ?
(this time - unlike 2007 ...finishing the season with a W )

In reality , the Pats are scufflin' right now.

Coaching / Administartive staff shake-ups - The loss of Josh Daniels / Dom Capers / Pioli is definitely being felt .

Passing game - Brady rusty / new wrs trouble getting up to speed

Injuries : Arguably 3 of their top 5 players are currently injured
( Mayo / Welker / Wilfork )

So All things considered ~ 2 and 1 isn't bad .

NOTE : 42 straight game streak without losing back 2 back games treks onward !
( considering there are plenty of NFL teams that can't WIN two in a row ...pretty impressive )
