NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > Tony Romo Must Protect The Football & The Secondary Must Cover....
September 26, 2009, 05:20 PM
Unless Romo makes better decisions passing the ball the Cowboys will continue this season in the same manner that they ended last season; "Out Of The Playoff Picture" I won't pretend that I was never on the Tony Romo bandwagon, indeed I was leading the charge in favor of him; however I've grown very weary of his seemingly nonchalant attitude after a loss and I'm especially tired of the careless manner inwhich he releases the ball up for grabs. There is never a good time to throw an int, however he has a knack for turning the ball over at the most crucial points in big games. I'm beginning to believe that Romo is a "not ready for prometime player"...And when it comes to giving up the big play on defense, the Cowboys secondary has cornered the market. They never fail to give up the winning touchdown in the closing minutes of an important game. I know that everyone and their mama will cry that the guys up front aren't getting any pressure on the quarterback, however I submit to you that even last season when they were leading the league in sacks the secondary still succombed to the big play. Hamlin, Newman, Scandrick, Jenkins and Sensabaugh had better wake-up, or they'll be getting toasted every week.
