MMA  > Fight Club  > What now for EliteXC?
October 5, 2008, 10:10 AM
Saturday was, obviously, not what EliteXC had hoped for. As a company already struggling in the MMA industry, EliteXC took two hard blows at its event in Sunrise, Fla.

First, star No. 1 (Gina Carano) still struggled to make weight (though she did ... after three tries in the nude). Then, star No. 2, Kimbo Slice, got knocked out in just 14 seconds by a lesser-known, fill-in: Seth Petruzelli.

What now for EliteXC? Is it done? Did this showing just kill its chances of making it a true competitor among MMA promotions?
