Well, I'd much rather be Cinderella than one of those ugly step sisters.......lol
Just saying................:-)
THis game will be waaaaay closer than many people think , and eventhough I'm bias , Jets winning on the field isn't so far fetched. Jets have always played Brees very well ...
He 1-2 against them Lifetime with 71.2 rating ( His career rating is 90.5 ) he's only averaged 202 yds against them ( 246 career ) although none of those games were with his current team , his lack of sucess against the Gang green have to wiegh in his mind.
Lets look at last weeks game while we're at it. Through 3 quarters this was anybodies ball game with Saints leading 10-7 against a Defense that doesnt have the secondary the Jets do and Brees was in fact being shut down, if it wasn't for Pierre Thomas bailing him out with 2 medium size TD runs in the 4th q , this might not be the 20 pt blow out it was.
Brees did what he could ,and it wasn't enough as he finished with only 176 yds passing , his lowest in 22 regular season games , he also failed to throw a TD and finished with a sub 6yds/attempt ratio , the last 8 times he was under that , he lost. So facts they he was lucky to win that game , and whoever didnt watch it ( i did ) probably thinks it was a typical saints blowout , it wasn't.
The Bills D ranks 24th in the League , the Jets are 3rd and you can bet your last pack of smokes Ryan will be studying the Bills Dfense that game with an extra eye. Will Brees put up two eggs in a row , doubtfully . But then again everybody and their mother expected Sanchez and the Jets to fold at home last week against Tennesee. Sanchez already beat the team that won 3 superbowls in the last 6 years, you really think an 8-8 team from last year is gonna make him lose sleep at night- or Ryan or that matter , this team is as dangerous as they come right now. I mean isnt New Orleans famous for beating the bad teams and losing to the good ones, hasn't that been their M.O. since Brees has been at the helm. Alot of questions will be answered on Sunday ,but whether or not Mark Sanchez is the real deal won't be one of them. Considering he was and is the first rookie EVER to start 3-0, I believe answers that already.

Everyone loves a good Cinderella Story ~ but it's time to get real .The Jets have played exceptional and combined with timely schedulin' and fortunate ball bouncin' ... they're 3 - 0 .There's an old saying "I'd rather be lucky than good " .So far the Jets have been BOTH.Sunday in New Orleons that's all about to change.1) The Saints are a team that is already in mid-season form( unlike the rusty Texans )2 ) The Saints are healthy( unlike the banged up Pats )3) The Saints are home and in dome( unlike the stumblin' & punt fumblin' rain soaked Titans )Sanchez has played well , but there's no denyin' he's also been lucky .There've been numerous times where he has faltered badly - Only to be bailed out by :a) Foolish throws ending in EZ Dropped Ints b) Backfield fumbles bouncin' back to teamatesc) Fortunate Circumstances ( pick 6 against Texans when Jets were up big anyway)Just this past Sunday against the Titans he athletically scrambles toward the endzone , then blindly sticks the ball out toward the endzone where a defender swats it out of his hands ( again he catches a break as ball is apparently a millemeter over the goaline -disaster avoided ) IN THE NFL THESE BREAKS EVENTUALLY EVEN OUT .The Jets Organization made a brilliant move in drafting the young Qb and though I'm a die-hard Pats fan - I readily admit that when it comes to how far he eventually can take them :The Sky's the Limit .But come THIS Sunday ...The Clock Strikes Midnight .( And looking upward from his sad sacked butt on the turf of the Superdome , Sanchez isn't gonna see no blue sky )PREDICTION :SAINTS 30JETS 16Sanchez - 13 - 29 , 137 yards , 2 ints 1 Fum
also I wouldnt call "Mid season" form struggling against one of the more medicore defenses in the league.
Did you watch the game ? , or just look at the standings and boxscore against the bills ?
Last year Saints were 8-8 ... 6 of those wins came against teams under .500
6 of those losses came against teams over .500
In Brees 8 wins he was amazing , 121.8 rating 21 Tds and 3 picks
in his 8 losses he was average at best 77.8 rating 13 - 14
6 of those losses were against good teams .... and he wasn't good
6 of those wins were against bad teams and he was great
Lets not paint this guy as the next Joe Montana just because he has great stats , Bottom line is Brees has 55-51 career record and has struggled against good defenses his entire career. Anybody can light up the Lions for 6 scores , but against mediocre buffalo he didnt have any ... and guess what ? The Jets D will be hitting him from every angle , Ryan will have something especially special prepared in the Bayou and don't be surprised to see a low scoring game in 24-20 neighborhood ... Jets will run the ball and manage the clock with Sanchez , I dont expect the rook to throw for 300 eiher but he will manage the team and the clock and keep Brees off the field , and when Brees is on the field Ryan will find a way to keep him on his back.
Brady was hit 23 times the first game, Collins was harassed the whole game and didnt complete his last 13 passes , The Jets D is all about disrupting the passing game and I think they will have some sucess come Sunday doing exactly that.
Dear FamousPete ,
I like to give credit where credit is due ~
Nice job crunchin' the # 's on the two teams .
I admit I didn't fine-tooth comb the Saints / Bills game
(but I actually think the Bills are better than given credit for - though admittedly I may be a bit biased due to how well they played vs Pats )
No denyin' the Saints & Jets are playing "at a high level " ( over-used phrase of the decade )
If the contest was held in Bufalo -esque weather in N J ...I'd call it a toss up .
Because the game will be played in ideal conditions ~
I see Brees dominatin' Rex Ryans "kitchen sink " approach with smart reads and timely check downs - thus blowin' up the Jets secondary .
I also get the feelin' that with the Jets running game stagnated and the Jets O getting their first test of playin' from a few scores behind...
The rook Qb in green is about to look .... green.
ps - For the record : Pats have only won 3 of last 8 SB's (not 3 of last 6 )

Thanks for Pats correction , but either way you look at it , thats more than anybody else has won in the last 8 years ....

Agreed. You want to talk about a QB getting a lucky break? How about the 2001 Tuck Rule incident... luckiest break in NFL history. And that lucky break certainly did not "even out"

If I was CaptainFoxboro I would be more concerned abot NE beating the Ravens then the Jets losing to the Saints ... the Ravens game might have home field implications come December ...
Sanchez is way overrated. The defense wins the games
typical patriot fan talking about the jets the patriots are going 9-7 if there lucky just like the falcon game you need some luck to win games your 75 year old men on defense are somehow holding down the fort just remember the jets have the 9th hardest schedual in the nfl the pats are 17th so shove it because with the harder schedual rookie sanchez just like his is right now well have the better record and stats im going to love the patriots downfall just remember team over all win loss ratio we have yo beat there too patriots only good the past 5 years before that they were garbage and there going back into the dumpster BTW jets beat the patriots more times then they lost in there overall record so keep talking while sanchez gets the 4th rookie of the week award in a row and brady goes 2-2 with the loss to the RAVENS
man give us a brake **** patriots do nothing but **** when there bad and throw it in your face when there good shut up already and just say hey man good job kicking our ass jets are good this year. you pats are all the same never shut up
OH and btw sanchez is not overrated both his interceptions where because they bounced off the hands of a bad WR they where on the money the other was deflected at the line and his fumbles whould of happend to any qb getting hit from behind sanchez has won 3 consecutive awards for a reason hes TOP NOTCH better passer rating after 3 games then tom brady ... huh didnt know that did ya dumbass
