What a game...NOT!

I am almost beginning to wonder how Romo really will do now that we have NO legitimate #1. He's got 4 TDs so far this season through 4 games (he averages over 2/game career), missed WIDE OPEN receivers, threw a red-zone pick, fumbled twice (lost one), as well as almost getting Williams killed with that shot leading him over the middle. I am beginning to wonder if he really can carry the team when the running game falls flat. If today's any indication, I'd say not with the group of WRs we currently have.

Speak of our WRs, how bout our #1....great to see him on the sidelines on the crucial 4th quarter drive. I say maybe we put Hurd and Austin as our top 2. Maybe that will wake Williams and Crayton from their comas. What Jerry really needs to do is get on the phone and see if Marvin Harrison would like to put a starred helmet on. Sure, he's old and lost a step, but at least he's a legit WR who can still draw a double-team.

Our defense was VERY un-spectacular when it counted most. How bout that Marshall TD?!?! Great to see Brady James on the tackle....too bad it was Newman that he was taking out of the play. Looked like the 5 stooges back there running after Marshall! I think Newman really needs to get over himself. I really don't think he's as good as HE thinks he is. Sure, he had a pick last week for a TD (which was not a SKILL Int, but a "wow...the ball just hit me in the gut" Int), but look at the other 3 games. He's been burned in all 3 of them. Teams seem to literally be picking on him because with the exception of ONE play, he still hasn't stepped up and shown us much of anything.

Jason Garrett is NOT a top Offensive Coordinator....today more than proves it. Take the last 2 plays. I understand the first, but after Bailey swatted away the first chance, why did we run THE SAME play? Why not a fade in the end zone to Bennett or a short out pattern? His play calling goes from good in the first quarter to totally milk-toast for the rest of the 45 minutes of the game. We score 10 points right off the bat, then don't cross mid-field again (on offense) until the last drive of the game...that's not just bad play...it's poor play calling as well.

Too many penalties and mental mistakes. There was nothing good about this game...no moral victory. Hell, there's no such thing as a "moral victory" in the NFl...only LOSERS talk that stuff.

This team needs leadership, and I don't see it on either side of the ball. After the first quarter, this team looked BEAT and uninspired. A thoroughly pathetic lack of effort. If we continue to play like this, we'll be lucky to have an 8-8 record when the season ends. Too many people playing sloppy, uninspired football.
