No one can deny that now. Look how good Orton was....
October 11, 2009  08:18 PM ET

Isnt it about time Ortons done something in his career?....Do you really think this will last...your schedule only gets harder with the creme puff schedule you have had.

Ill give you the 5-0 feeling, that its great enjoy it, w is a w...gloat about it..Im all for it but expect the downside.

October 11, 2009  08:27 PM ET

I think this is exactly what fuels their fire... Everyone expected the worse...There's no way they beat the Cowboys... There's surely no way they Beat the Patriots... Sure enough what happens?

Josh has locked his coach of the year award with this win.. You look at the rest of their games...they can have 10 wins. This is a scary team..You have to respect them!

October 11, 2009  10:18 PM ET

I think Kyle Orton played great (we should expect that--the man was 17-2 in Chicago) and the wonderful thing about this win is that not one of the team gave up. And we DID beat NE. In 1st downs, in yardage gained, in yards PER gain, defensively shutting them out in the 2nd half, we led them on everything except punt and kick returns...we definitely beat them in every possible way. We have a very balanced team and there's no reason not to believe we'll make the play-offs and be a contender all year, barring lots of injuries. It feels good and I'm not looking for the downside anytime soon. Sure we won't go undefeated...but we're a very good team. Barbara in Anchorage

Very good comment. I agree. The Steelers/Colts and two Charger games are the only ones that I am worried about.

October 12, 2009  02:13 PM ET

GO BRONCOS!! Very impressive, very! I hope we don't lose focus, but McDaniel's has had experience with keeping teams in check during win streaks.

October 12, 2009  02:25 PM ET

Congrats on the great win you guys had....it was a great game ....only thing I have to say is look closer at Orton as its my belief that our defense is what really made Orton look great....if our D played thier game I believe that Orton wouldve had some major issues. Our defenfenders gave him 8-10 cushion all day long....that sucked for us....but Orton is no Joe Montana...count on that!

October 12, 2009  02:39 PM ET

I think Orton is with the team he should have been with for him to prosper. Maybe it's the coach as well. He had to take a backseat to Grossman in Chicago, and I saw both play there, and I couldn't understand why Grossman ever was the starter. Maybe losing Cutler was the best thing?

I have to admit, I was one of the doubters of Denver being a contender this year because of all that went down, but I see cohesion now.

Good luck with your team, Broncos fans.

October 12, 2009  03:12 PM ET

I was not a big believer in MacDaniels or Orton, but they have changed my mind. i love the coach's fire and passion. I also like the fact that Orton does not play outside the scheme of the offense and tries to limit his mistakes...

i agree but i also think we will lose to the Giants on thanksgiving, but they should split with the Chargers, a win next week would be huge, 6-0 into the bye, when a lot of people said they might not win 4 games

That is my concern too. But at least the giants would be an NFC loss. Peyton Peyton, man I hate Peyton. That will be our real test.

Which is why he will ALWAYS be a average qb, AT BEST!

But the idiots are giving Orton props for finally being named as a player on the team, where was he all his career if he is such a good "game manager"? How stupid...

Uh you will loose...you have average Orton thats being held on a a high horse this season....which wont last.

Bears should have kept this elite HOF(er)

For that game anyways..love how that works..doesnt get brought up all season but when they get to 5-0..heck its Orton day in Denver..what a great game manager..what hogwash.

Never even close...Orton is getting more props then he deserves...way to much.

So why get rid of such a elite sb bound qb then?

Yea..Orton is very scary. Hes a stationary qb.

Easy Schedule? I think the numbers of the opponents speak for themselves. The "Girls" have beaten winless teams. Compare that to the Broncos schedule, and you will "See the light". Unless your kook aid is the special kind.

My apologies if I don't take anything you say into consideration. But when you said the Broncos had "No chance to beat Dallas... No chance" and then got punked, you lost all credibility with me. So instead of making fun of Denver fan's crazy predictions, figure out when to shut up.

P.S. When your team loses to a team that you guaranteed a victory over, don't continue taunting that team. Oh and congrats on barely beating the worst team in the league.

October 12, 2009  06:00 PM ET

Oh and how is it an easy schedule so far? They have played Cincy (Division leader), I will admit that CLE and Oakland were easy, your Cowboys, and now NE. So only 2 of those games were easy and they destroyed those teams.

October 12, 2009  06:05 PM ET

Oh quit the hating already....Denver is 5-0....deal with it.
Some people just can't give credit were it is due.
Nobody picked them to beat the cowboys....but they did.
Nobody picked them to beat the Pats....but they did.
Think what Orten had to work with in Chicago.
Now he has Marshall, Moreno, Royal, Sheffler....and a D that is coming on strong.
I hate whining ass haters that will search for any excuse to dismiss a win or two from another ball club.
Get over it already....Denver is 5-0 and is 1st in the division. Go Broncos....Go Dawkins!!!
Peace!!!!!!!!
