It gives the Bears 4 Defensive ends to rotate, plus Anderson and Ogunleye are in a contract year. J.A.'s draft picks seems to be better in the later rounds anyway and Gaines was the 4th overall pick by the Bucs in the 07 draft.
Another D-lineman ? Like we don't need serious help at WR, OL and RB ?

I think they're planning on throwing the bank at Cutler in the offseason; can't afford to not only sign a first rounder, but a second rounder too! I guarantee you that Marinelli had a look at this kid and said let me work with him - he'll turn him into something special. And perhaps they'll be signing a WR via free agency in the offseason. And thank God they didn't make a trade to get TO
You guys are a joke. for one he is a bust, you gave up wayyy to much for him. and two thats not even his name. its gaines adams not adam gaines. clowns.

Aw c'mon now! How come no T.O.?.........*laffin*......
He's a deep threat that the Bears need, right? He's productive. Just have to ignore his mouth is all.
:-)......just joshing ya.......

Bears picked up Adam Gaines from TB via 2nd round pick in 2010. This gives the Bears no 1st or 2nd round pick this up coming draft.Thoughts please!
The guy's name is Gaines Adams.

Get over yourself. In the end you know who is on the board, regardless if I knew his first name or last. What is the difference when the topic of discussion is weather or not this is a good or bad move.

and i addressed that already. not tryin to be a donkey. just giving ya bears fans a hard time. relax.
With Marinelli coaching Gains Adams for a year we may be able to loose Ogunleye and his hefty salary next year with out it hurting out team or even improving the Defensive line. The way Roach and Williams have been playing Urlacher might even be traded too. Just saying don't be suprised bear fans. Then we would get all kinds of money freed up for free agent wide reciever, (Isn't Anquan Boldin a free agent this year?) offensive linemen and a backup running back to say nothing of draft choices we might get for Urlacher. Great move. Coach him up Rod.

Look, Adam Gaines sounds like a real guy. More of an accountant than a defensive end, but still a real guy. I was just trying to clear up the post. If I wanted to act like an a.s.s. I could have done a hell of a lot better job than that.
I'll have to double check, but I'm pretty sure there isn't more than one trade happening between the Bucs and Bears that deal with second round picks.

I wouldn't call him a bust until Marinelli has a chance to work with him. But really, should you be worried about the Pack? Preseason powerhouse..giving up 20 sacks..2-2..

How are you going to try to discuss the guy when you dont even know who he is?

Gaines Adams tallied 12.5 sacks over the last two seasons. I think the Buccaneers gave up on him too early. He has a lot of potential. Sometimes all a player needs is a change of scenery to succeed.

Know who he is? or know his name? I'm not sure you know the difference.
