NFL  > Philadelphia Eagles  > Totally Unexpected!!!!!!
October 19, 2009, 11:19 AM
I'm a diehard Cowboys fan, but at the same time I am also a huge football fan. So believe me when I say that yesterday's Eagles loss to the Raiders was an unexpected outcome...I didn't see the game so I can't comment on the play of any one individual, as far as I'm concerned the Eagles have some very good weapons on both sides of the ball and are still a difficult draw at home or away; however I would like to say to those Eagles fans here at home who ragged on me in reference to my Cowboys needing overtime to defeat the Chief's, I'll take that overtime victory anyday than having to witness my favorite team being kept out of the endzone by a weaker opponent.

They say an ugly win is better than a pretty loss.....lol
I have to agree with that.

true, I would rather see my team get a bad win then loose to a horrible team

You won't get any argument from me.
I'm over my over-reaction after the game, due to my consumption of the Devils juice.
Makes you say bad, bad things. A win is a win...wish we got one yesterday.
The loss to Raiders had me bewildered. Any given Sunday I guess.
I wasn't one of those fans you referred to....Bull and I get along just fine. My best friend of over 20 years is also and always been a Cowboy's fan....and I would run into a burning building, or through a brick wall if it meant helping him.

The thing about it is, Philly, (ut oh....two Phillies here.....lol) is it could have been worse. Now, the Raiders were somewhat like a cornered rat, in that if you keep it cornered long enough, it will strike. They struck and the Eagles just happened to be the "victim" that day.

And, when I say it could have been worse, all you have to do is look at the Titans/Pats game. Now, that was an embarrassment.

Amen....over and out!

I'm not convinced the Raiders are a horrible team. Now before you call me crazy, look how they played against the Chargers week 1. Now they're still bad, but I think if Al Davis along with Cable hit the highway..the Raiders could at least make it back to being a .500 team.
