They only do it for the fantasy players. I had Randy and he FINALLY got some points.

Sure you don't need a Exorcist Captain...too many voices in your head..LOL
Everybody would love it if it were their team doing it. I agree with the theory of it not being the offense's job to stop scoring, but it is the defense's job to stop the offense from scoring. I was hoping the Pats would go for the scoring record.

What is that record anyway?
Why doesn't the NFL just habd the Patriots the Trophy and be done with it. I am so SICK of seeing Ms. Brady cry for flags she is pathetic. I am glad CBS in my area switched over from their game to the Buffalo game. The Titans are awful. And remember you can't spell Titans without T-I-T.
Honestly The Patriots should be ashamed of themselves this running up the score gainst the JV team is wrong. Last time I checked if a tie breaker is required it doesn't matter if you win by 59 or if you win by 1 you only get 1 win.Brady is whats totally wrong about the NFL he dictates to them when to throw flags and what will be done. Did Tom Terrific come out of the game or did the Genius leave his sorry A-$$ in there?

If Denver did the same thing, I would love it. So, I will never complain about a high score. Plus, we don't see them again for awhile. SO, way to go Pats.

Ridiculous, what are they supposed to do? They took Brady out after the first drive of the second half. It isnt like they have 85 guys on the team to take every starter out of the game, they have to play at full speed, if not people start getting hurt so they run their offense. They werent attempting field goals, went for it on 4th dowm, honestly what else could they have done, ran backwards? That would have been worse for the Titans. I am sure this was like one of those perfect storm things where the pats played great and the Titans played poorly with some backups in there but you cant not try in the NFL, that is when people start breaking legs.

thanks duke and dave,..............this windsor crow can't come to terms with his teams pathetic, heartwrenching loss to an old man named farvre !.........life goes on !.......there shoulda been a total of 66 points [early missed field goal, an unchallenged b.b. no flag/2-point conv., and a feel-bad for tenn. fourth down on tenn. 30 yrd. line/failed that could've been 3-points !..........i believe the record is 73-0 for a blowout in nfl !..............tenn. didn't show-up yesterday, sorry soccer-moms !

I was thinking that too when I read this...missed opportunities that didn't matter too much.
73-0, they would have come close. Maybe against the bucs next week. I will cross my fingers for you.

I agree....When I got to the bar and the game came on, everyone was like what???????
It's snowing...where did that come from????? And I'm 1/2hr-45 min driving time to Gillette.
The Pats were just running their offense, and the Titans couldn't stop them. I understand the Titans had 3 corners out for the game but what were the Pats supposed to do?
You take what the defense gives right? I wish Andy would have thought like that yesterday....the Raiders are next to last if not last in the league vs. the run. Andy decided to try and pass the ball and abandon the run...and we payed for it.

Um..Alert..Titans were too busy trying to find their bus home to play..

Truest statement I have read on FanNation to date . . .
All voices aside ~
I do believe there's a point in a blow out where u can call off the dogs w/o making it look obvious
( I admit it was tough watching a true gentlemen like Jeff Fisher endure that 2nd half )
That said ...
In Conference games where the Tiebreaker POINTS SCORED might conceivably enter into play . . . It's best to pile it on if u can .
I think Sundays outcome was a combination of the aforementioned "perfect storm " and Brady & Co's 2009 Offensive anger & frustration being vented .
( Not unlike early 2007 when BB & Pats took their " Spygate " anger out on opposing teams )
At any rate ... the League NEEDS a powerful team to hate , led by an unlovable villain .
( and BB plays the part so well )
It's off to London we shall go.. pip , pip and all that ...
LOOK LIVELY YOUNG BUCS AND MASTER RAHEEM ... 74 - nil on tap don't u know...and Coach William shant even shake your hand !
BOLLOCKS !

The record is 73-0...Bears beat Redskins in 1940 Championship game.
Congrats Pats for that man handleing in the snow. It was impressive and I'm surprised that more fans didn't leave early to get out of the cold.
Tom showed he still has the ability to throw and connect with all of his recievers. Plus even Hoyler got to play and not worry that Brady was out for the season.
Congrats on beating the snot out of a team.

First...let's keep in mind that you ran it up on a winless team. It's not like you were playing the Colts or Broncos....So try to keep it in perspective.
Second, there are two schools of thought on running up the score. The first is, it's unsportsmanlike. The second is, if you're going to do it - don't whine when it's done to you. Bill Bellacheat believes in running it up - as do a lot of coaches - and that's fine. But one day it will happen to him and when it does, I don't want to hear any whinning from him or the Pats fans. So long as there's no complaining when it happens to you, running it up is fine.
Lastly, not a good idea and I'll tell you why...potential injuries. Should Brady get injured when the game is already out of hand, your season is over. To blow the season just because you want to run it up is fool hearty. All it's going to take is a great play, a fluke (like Brady getting his foot caught in the turf or his Olineman stepping on is foot) or a player from the losing side taking a cheap shot to teach the Pats a lesson.
