College Football Fan Club  > NCAAF Fan Club Message Board  > UGA at 4-3 is not good enough for me

The Bulldogs have been a good team for a long time, consistantly getting better. They haven't been on Florida's level over the last couple of years, but have been right there, just needing a couple more pieces to their puzzle.

At the beginning of last year, they started off #1, and I thought they had finally made it. Last years finish didn't disappoint me, because that was the team I was used to.

This year, they haven't taken a step back, they leaped back and fell into some kind of giant mud pit. It's really embarrasing that they are were they are right now. There is no reason for it, the talent is there.

The coaching? I thought they were there, but our talent doesn't improve, it's like what you see your freshman year is what you see you junior and senior year. Willie Martinez (D coordinator) was impressive when he first joined the UGA staff, but it seems like he's gotten complacent or something. I don't know what he's teaching those young men, but they just look confused from time to time.

Mike Bobo (O coordinator) has never impressed me, going back to his days as a UGA QB. Bobo was not a good QB for the bulldogs, he didn't have the talent, he didn't play smart football. I found myself questioning UGA on his hire, and I still question it, he hasn't proved himself to me. Again, the talent is there, what's the problem? He needs to get closer to the game, like he did for Vandy this year. He can't see his guys, talk to his guys from the press box. He has no clue what's going on from way up there.

Georgia has a real chance to finish the season at 6-6 if they don't get something together. Even if they do, I only see them finishing at 7-5 or 8-4, which is still a bad season of Bulldog football.
