NFL  > Denver Broncos  > BRONCOS VS SAINTS/VIKINGS SUPERBOWL
October 20, 2009, 12:04 AM
I can't decide. Tell me why the Vikings or the Saints would be better for the Broncos to beat in this season's Superbowl????

I already know there is a lot of work to do, but we haven't been this good since 98, so I am going to gloat a little.

I'd wait on the superbowl talk, Denver will have to beat Colts in the playoffs. But if they beat the Colts offense..then I see them having no trouble with either the Saints or Vikings. The Bronco's D..is insane

Uh Super Bowl talk by a Denver fan. You certainly have high hopes but you wont get there with Orton. No chance. You beat New England and thats it. The Pats are a good team. Denver is just not a Super Bowl contender.

The more people pick against Denver and say exactly what you are saying, the more we win. So keep it up. I love hearing no chance. THat is all I have heard for six weeks. BTW: The Cowboys, Bengals, Pats and SD are all higher tiered teams. And Orton has more wins as a starter than most. Are you even watching football this season?

We don't have the deep pass and the running game is still flaky. Fix those and Denver takes it all. (The deep ball wont come from Kyle, though)... Given. I would like to see the old man Farve and A. Peterson (I'm an OU grad, also.) in the Big Game!

Honestly I'm not sure Denver needs the deep ball. While Orton doesn't have the arm, he has Marshall. That pretty much makes up for his lacking in athletic ability. The Broncos can move the ball at will with dink and dunk passing. I don't see them in a position where they need the deep ball, honestly I don't think the defense would let them get behind big.

That is where I am leaning to as well. At least for now. Sure it would be fun to beat the Saints in the SB. But we would have an easier time with the Vikings. Plus, Favre knows how to lose against us in the SB already, hope he keeps that up. I bet he hates Elway.

People talking about how Denver wont make the SB isn't proof they will make it. 6 games in People didn't have Denver going this way, this year. They also 'have the Saints D being what it is. They also didn't think Cinci would start 4-2. NYG were the favorites to be first out in 2007 Playoffs, Pitt had the hardest SOS last year, and the lowly Bears of 2006 made a run that was unprecedented, and un-thought of. Anything can happen.

Small talk is fine, but to think this is going to amount of anything, is silly.

This team reminds me of the 2006 Bears. Their defense is solid, but there is little faith in the offense to get the job done when needed. Then they rely on ST to carry the load. Just the like Hester filled season of ST TD's. and a shaky Offensive production.

Yeah, he is on a couple of my fantasy teams. I wish he would open those kickoff returns back up.

Chargers go undefeated the rest of the way and easily win the Super Bowl over Dallas!

I won't lie, coming into the year, I figured the Broncos to be a 6-8 win team. But they hae proven to be far better than that. With that said,I am not sold on them being better than the Ravens, Colts, Steelers or Patriots in Jan. I could be wrong and to tell you the truth, they have shown few weaknesses. So who knows? Congrats Denver fans, what a turn of events.

Did you take my words out of context? I said the Broncos have shown few weaknesses. My opinion is that the Ravens, Colts, Steelers and Patriots will be the better teams come playoff time. Bur I could be horribly wrong. We'll see.
