Gomer Pyle...ooops...I meant Bill Stewart has taken an explosive offense and made it very pedestrian. With Rich Rodriguez, that team averaged close to 40 points a game last year...and Stewart, with most of the offense returning, has averaged a whopping 23 per game this season. Not to mention the fact that under Stewart's direction, WVU has went from being ranked 8th in the country to being unranked and a mere 3-2 while playing the easiest part of their schedule. He makes very questionable decisions during games, then backs them up by saying he would do it again if the opportunity presented itself...like squib kicking to Rutgers with :56 to go in the first half, thereby giving them the ball on the 44 yard line. What happened? Rutgers drove the rest of the way and scored a TD! Now for the funny part, he said after the game that he'll always squib before the half! WHAT?!?!?! Not only did he screw up but he let every opponent they face the rest of the year know exactly what he is going to do if his team scores before the half. And what about the clock management, or lack thereof, in Colorado at the end of the game? Atrocious. I wasn't a fan of the hire in January and I am now completely sick over it. 5-7 isn't out of the question for this team with his leadership. Do you think Rodriguez would come back if WVU offered him $6 million per year? JUST KIDDING!
