NFL  > New York Giants  > Beat BAD... Embarrassing !!!
November 1, 2009, 04:07 PM
This could be the worse performance on all sides of the ball by the Giants I seen in years. The Eagles could have been more prepared, The Giants haven't made any sort of adjustment on their issues in 3 weeks, What is it going to take?

Defense: The holes in the secondary are given but the front line isn't putting any pressure when a obvious big play is coming. Horrible tackling all over the place. Bill Sheridan I need some emotion from you dude, It's hard watching them fall apart Early and fast, even with the injuries you should know and be better prepared for the Eagles or any offense. Come this off season going in a new direction in Coordination should be addressed. You shouldn't be getting killed on this many Big plays no matter how soft we are on secondary due to injuries.

Offense: The running game isn't their, Every defense they have faced, they have figured to take Jacobs out by the legs instead of facing him body to body and as long as the film shows that, everyone else they face for the rest of the season will continue to do that. I'm not sure what is going on with Eli? He looks frazzled at the snap on Defensive shifts and normally he can pick that up and when he does it's either the ball is over thrown, WR drops the ball or runs a bad route route. You have to get it together if you want to see the post season this year.

Overall: With how strong the NFC is this year and How the Cowboys and Eagles are picking it up in the Division. If our issues aren't addressed in the next 4 weeks, it's going to be hard to squeeze into any playoff position when so many teams are moving forward in the Conference and you are moving Backwards!!!

Get it Together!!!

I feel for ya Sam... it was ugly!

Hey Hey! At least now people can move on from the beating the Bears took the prior week, and talk all week about NYG.

Justin Tuck has a shot shoulder and Osi is still waiting for his post-operation confidence.

Giants are getting exposed after they played cream puffs for the first 4 weeks..

So should that be the excuse Bill Sheridan uses every game? How do I prep for a game when Osi and Tuck are banged up? Sheridan didn't once try shifts or audibles. When I see them line up I can see where the pass rush is coming and pick it up. You show no motion to make a opposing team question their play and the Eagles and whoever can see it all the way. This stems way beyond Osi's Confidence and Tuck's Shoulder.

Actually, no it really doesn't. The Giants pass rush was the reason for their success the past two seasons.

I am going to have to beg to differ with you there, itsatrap.

The 'Boys should have beaten the Giants the 2nd week. If they had played then like they are now, there would have been no doubt. However, they weren't and didn't, but I wouldn't consider the Cowboys cream puffs. They may not yet be SB material , but they aren't cream puffs either.

November 1, 2009  06:22 PM ET

That's my point Dude..Who was the Coordinator the past two seasons...Steve Spagnuolo!!! He ran better schemes, had constant motion..He did it with a whole season without Osi.

November 1, 2009  06:45 PM ET

Not sure the facts lie. All their wins came against bottom of the league teams, aside from Dallas in which they still gave up 30+ points. This team is not as good as their record shows. At least not against top half of the league competition. IMO.

People can rationalize with themselves about were the NYG's stand, but against good teams, they are the lower half.

I was refering more to Oakland, Tampa and Washington as cream puffs. Cowboy's prolly should have won, how often does a ball bounce off a foot for a TD?

How about them big bad Giants....yeah right. I posted a couple weeks ago that they can only put a beating on the weak teams and cant beat a good team. The story is right there in front of everyone the Giants are weak and its really coming out...anyone dont believe just check the schedule and results....the truth is right there....they are toast!

Dallas cost themselves that game, there were mistakes and like you indicate a very flukey pick 6. Now on the other hand if Romo throws a catchable ball, Witten grabs it rather than pop it up like a hackey sack.

Wheels are off the axle for Giants right now.... I think your analysis is good. Bottom line the loss of spagnulo is costly. And maybe the Plantar Fascitis is a problem for Eli...?

Yeah and..Stokely doesn't Catch the tip Ball, Bironas makes his field goals, Favre misses Ellis in the End Zone and the record turns turns turns in the NFL... Asking "if" in the NFL means someone had lost oppurtunity which someone gained on..Thats Life in the Greatest Game in the world.

Eli said himself, The Planter wasn't/isn't a issue...He wishes he could use that excuse but he won't. He said it's been good and played without the wrap and tape.

It's becoming clear Spagnulo's loss is making way up to the surface, Sheridan is playing it to soft and when I see them line up and I can pick a play against them. Spagnulo played a lot of musical chairs on the line and it through a lot of Off. Cords off..He was also very fired up on the sidelines and Sheridan doesn't show any emotional what so ever other than his "doh"face when he gets spanked on a 20-60 yard play multiple times per game.

At least things are looking up ... you play my Chargers next week. They are a quarterback tonic. Russell almost had repectable stats against them. And they can't run block a lick.

Not to worry.

I'm sure this loss will have a minimum-impact on the Manning Family's marketing-efforts.
