NFL  > Dallas Cowboys  > 5-2 and looking good.
November 2, 2009, 09:33 AM
After the win at home vs the Seahawks the Cowboys seem to be flying under the radar, which is fine by me.

Lets look at some telling stats:

Romo has gone 3 games without a pick. That is the 1st time in his career.

Tony is on pace for 4300yds passing and 27 scores against 10 picks...with a 96 rating....that is stout.

Barber is on pace for a misleading 900yds rushing, after being banged up for 2 games and with 9 scores....toss in Felix for 650 and 2 and Choice for 530 and 5 and you have a 3 headed monster of over 2000yds and 16 scores.

Austin had a third solid game in a row...not spectacular, but solid with over 60yds and a score. He is the #1 WR in Dallas now, with Witten, Williams, and Crayton getting their share.

Austin is on track for almost 1300yds and 14 scores....can you say TO who?

Ware is on track for only 11 sacks but he started slow and I think that might be higher.

Our O is 4th in yds and 6th in scoring. Not shabby for no TO.

Our D is 19th in yds and 11th in scoring. Scary part, they started out almost dead last...so they are improving big time!!

Our next 4 games are critical...anything less than 3-1 will hurt. Either game at Philly or GB can be won but if we split those 2 and win our games at home vs the Skins and Raiders we will be set up for another December finish.

Lets all hope that the wheels stay on the train and while I am not stupid to think they wont have some bumps along the way, you got to like how much the ball is getting spread around.

Sure, I can nitpick about Roy Williams and the money he is getting vs the production given. But it goes the same way with what we are getting from Austin vs the money being laid out.

Some you hit a homerun on, others you swing at a pitch in the dirt.

Overall, this team is tough to guard and I will be keeping a close eye on how well they do vs a Philly team on the road that embarrassed us last season.

If Dallas goes in and wins or keeps it close while looking good on O, I will be happy.

A loss or if they look stupid in the process and we are back to square 1.

DALLAS TX STAND UP!! it all started from the kansas city game. That game there will be the most significant victory for this regular season. when you play i sorry team and it has to go to overtime for the win, it brings you back to reality. Im happy to see them getting it together

Hope Romo doesnt blow it in the playoffs (again)
cant put it all on him though, can you?

I can't bring myself to read all that! Too much praise!

I will say this. The Boyz are a better team than I gave them credit for early in the season and with the Giants (calm down Sam) being overrated I think it will be between the Eagles and the Boyz in the east. Tough road to get to the playoffs this year though so beating ATL was huge! I like Austin's game! Shut up and perform, that's the way its suppose to be!

I hate to say this, but congrats Cowboys fans, your team looks legit.

How bout dem Cowboys!

November 2, 2009  10:52 AM ET

dallas did look good sunday. if they can keep things going next week in philly, then maybe this team is turning a corner. romo's play is very good the last 3 wks. he is not making the poor decisions he was.... we can only hope he is maturing and "coming into his own!" i agree, you could vent about roy and his huge salary, but maybe it's best to just leave it alone (but, i can't.... he's average at best - JJ should be kicking himself for giving him $45 million) miles austin is a bargin right now, but if his stats continue, he will be knocking at the door for more $$$ very soon, and he deserves it if he can play at this level - maybe JJ can take some from roy to pay miles - who is proving to be much better. GO COWBOYS!!

Insofar as Roy Williams's salary is concerned, why do we worry about it? It comes out of Jerry Jones' pocket, not ours. Even if the man is used as a decoy, he can still contribute. But, he and Romo are going to HAVE to get on the same page.

I watched him closely Sunday, and it appears that he is somewhat "timid" of pushing off, drawing an offensive holding or pass interference call. That's just an observation, and don't necessarily make it so. But, I think he'll come around eventually, as the team is heating up, and he'll either have to **** or get off the pot.

"KC isn't a real team" Brilliant, Einstein. Did the doctor leave the umbilical cord around your neck when you were born?

"HEARD" it from people....? You don't have your own opinion, do you? How can you do this when you have no friends?

Fake team? No such animal. See the doctor comment above^^
