QUOTE:
Machida suffered a hand injury in his controversial win
Machida did NOT suffer this injury during the fight. he had this BEFORE the fight and decided to wait until after the fight to take care of it.
This is NOT rua's fight related!
QUOTE:
GSP is going to be ready by February, it is looking more like March...but he doesn't have a scheduled opponent yet anyhow
He is scheduled to fight the winner of Swick-Hardy.
QUOTE:
Silva's elbow surgery has now thrown a monkey wrench into the planned Belfort fight on January second and that will likely be postponed now as well.
I don't know. Although I was ok with Vitor fighting Silva, I think that now it came to a blessing. We can have the top 4 competing for a chance to fight for the title.
How about that?
Maybe Nate & hendo and Vitor & Okami, then winners will fight for the belt, or even the winner of Nate & Hendo will fight Spider and next in line is the winner of Vitor & Okami
What do you think?

Rua broker Machidas hand with his face.

Well considering Okami just lost to Sonnen I dont think so. Let see what happens with the Marquardt-Hendo fight first. I think they eventually fight, prob in Jan-Feb, and the Anderson surgery is just removing bobe chips, so dont know what his deal is, but I cant imagine the Vitor-Anderson fight being delayed much more than 6 weeks.

Roni, you're gonna kill me on this one... but if Machida does have a hand injury, then it was fight related.
Firstly, fighters' hands are checked by a doctor, the day before the fight. His hand was deemed fine. It's nearly impossible that he had a hand injury requiring surgery, before the fight.
All reports I have read coming from his camp are stating that he injured his hand during the fight.
That's the only logical thing to assume.
And I just did some comparative research.
Doctors, as we all know, check fighters pre-fight and post-fight. No one is going to fight with, in the case we're talking about, a broken hand.
Remember Rich Franklin at UFC 58?
He broke his hand against David Loiseau that night.
I remember that fight very well and decided to do some research.
The fight took place March 4 of 2006.
Franklin went to the hospital to get an x-ray on his hand.
He was medically suspended:
- No contest until 09/01/06. That's September of that year. All in all, it was a 6-month suspension.
Now Machida comes into the fight with his hand cleared by doctors. He supposedly broke his hand during the Shogun fight (that's what their camp is reporting, and what most websites are also reporting, so there's no reason to doubt that).
After the fight he went to the hospital and got an x-ray. He was medically suspended for 2 months for the lip only.

Not killing anybody, but it is a thrilling feeling to disagree with you :)
However, read this (I beg to pardon to the english readers, but you understand if I require proof to disagree with Hyped) :)

English boys, I need it translated.
Basically Ed soares is saying that Machida had visited a doctor, and he was aware he would need surgery for cipped bones in his hands.
He was OK to fight and didn't want to delay the fight, so they agreed on surgery after the fight.
Again, it could be BS.
But this is pretty much the biggest site for News in Brazil, and they are (now) doing a decent coverage on Brazillian fighters. So I don't think they would report this if it was not true.

No accents, sorry Roni.
Me and Roni are talking bad stuff about you guys :)
Ive been away for like a month. Nice to be back.
I hope Silva and Belfort get moved to the 109 card with GSP Swick/Hardy. That would be awesome. I could care less about the rest of the card. I doubt Silva and GSP would be on the same card since they both bring in a lot of money.

Olha, eu nao sei.
Hey! You two stop talking in your secret little language!:)
HAHAHA. this is becoming the dominant language in MMA :)
I think you guys have to start learning it :)
