NCAAF  > General NCAAF  > Who's got the best tailgate spot for tomorrow?
October 10, 2008, 02:15 PM
I'm usually in the Woody Hayes lot to the left of the Shoe, but I was thinking about venturing out of it tomorrow

I know Heineygate is fun, any other hot spots?

Also, just a question to all around the country, if you had one weekend for a roadtrip to any location where would you tailgate?

One weekend, eh...

It would be a toss-up for one of the SEC teams. I'd probably pick the Auburn/Alabama game regardless of location.

UF and UGA game for me.

Being a former Ranger, I would have to pick the Army Navy game as #2..

Im dying to go to LSU for a night game, I have heard so much about how great it is, I want to see it in person.

I have been to UF, Michigan, Penn St., and a few others, but no Alabama or LSU...yet!

Gainesville had the hottest girls on the planet down there.

I've been to a few of the B10 sites as well plus Miami, so I would love the chance to visit LSU or Florida. Gainseville sounds rather promising. ;)

Any Buckeye fans out there today, I know 90% of us, left after the switch, but cmon, tomorrowis gona perfect weather for tailgating. Where ya gonna be?

Unfortunately, I can???t go to God???s country, I mean the shoe for the game. But, Heineygate is always nice. The best is when the girls flash from the hotel windows over looking the party! That???s always nice!

I've done Tiger Stadium at night, been between the hedges, seen Neyland all orange, and Bryant Denny packed and rocking. I think I would like to see a OSU/Michigan game at either stadium. And I would like to see a white-out at PSU. Oh, and a Rose Bowl.

to me the best location ever for the Iron Bowl was Legion Field in B'ham. The Old Gray Lady is smallish, but intimate - you are right on top of the action. And when the game gets going good, the Old Gal will start swaying. And it was loud. I hate that fans today can't experience it.

Oh, and you have to go by Dreamland (they have a B'ham location) or the Full Moon and get a rack of ribs. The best you will ever have.

But, honestly, does the location really matter that much? Every place has its own feel, its own aura. What really makes the difference are the people. Its being around so many fellow fanatics, everyone decked out in their teams colors, the music blaring. The mixed aroma of all the foods blending into a mouth watering sensation. The camaraderie, the feeling of belonging to something bigger than yourself. Walking to the stadium entrances with everyone else with the sounds of the bands drifting out and hearing the crowd inside and being anxious to get inside and join in. That is what makes college football special.

So, what are you trying to say? Bruce, I gotta ask,do you have any formal training when it comes to writing?Because you are damn good at it.Not trying to start a love fest here but reading this post took me right back to legion field back in the day. i envy your passion for the game.

Beaver Stadium is gonna be a s*** show. Its gonna get ugly for michigan fans when they step onto the field. Penn State by far.
